Burlington Lions Optimist Minor Hockey Association (BLOMHA) The Burlington Lions were a founding member of BLOMHA - an association for children between the ages of 4 and 18 to play hockey. Each year through the generosity of local and area businesses over 160 teams are sponsored in BLOMHA. The money generated through team sponsorship helps defray operating costs and in turn helps keep registration fees from rising as quickly. Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides is a dog guide training facility located in Oakville Ontario. Since 1983, the lives of over 1200 men, women and children from the age of 8 to 84, have been enriched by the services of specially trained Dog Guides from Lions Foundation of Canada. Lions Camp Dorset is a resort in Ontario, Canada, for Ontarians on kidney dialysis. The resort has a dialysis unit onsite in order to provide guests in renal failure with their dialysis three times a week. It also provides an excellent opportunity to experience the great outdoors; get back to nature; and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere away from the stresses of everyday life. |
