Stephen Blair, the exclusive supplier of maple syrup to the Burlington Lions Annual Maple Syrup Fundraiser, won the special Millennium Champion of Champions Maple Award at Toronto’s Royal Winter Fair.
The Blair’s have entered the competition at the Royal Fair yearly over the last two decades and have been crowned “World Champions” on several occasions. This Millennium award was really special because it was for high combined score in all seven classes for maple products. There will never be another such champion for the next 1,000 years!
Stephen Blair also won the year 2000 Reserve World Championship in the Maple Syrup division of the elite competition.
The Blair’s have been producing Maple Products at the same farm in Franklin Centre, Quebec for five generations. Stephen, the fifth, is already 53 years of age! Despite their longevity the Blair’s are very progressive and continue to expand. They recently built a new sugar house with all new equipment and opened a new sugar bush to double their capacity.
The Blair’s are very focused on their goal to provide high quality maple syrup and products.
